If you are planning to volunteer with us on campus or as a field trip driver or chaperone this year, please join us for the new Volunteer Campus Safety Plan Training! We are so thankful for our great volunteers and we want all events to go as smoothly and safely as possible. This training is mandatory, so be sure to make time in your calendar. You can choose one of two dates: Tuesday, September 1st at 6pm or Thursday, September 3rd at 8:30am. Shopping with Scrip gift cards is a great way to help support Heritage Oak School! When you purchase cards through our Scrip program a percentage of those funds go back to the school with no extra cost to you. You can use these cards just like regular gift cards to do your grocery shopping, shop for school supplies, or eat at some of your favorite restaurants. There are more than 200 vendors that participate in the program including Walmart, Albertsons, Savemart, Tractor Supply, Home Depot, Lands' End, Target, Starbucks, Panda Express, Chipotle, Kohnen’s Bakery, TK Pizza, and more! If you have any questions, please contact Amy Bruhl or Kim Garrett and they can tell you more about the program. The next physical Scrip card order will be placed next Monday, August 24th, so be sure to get your orders in before then!

Remember to sign up for the parenting class, which starts next Wednesday, August 26! This class is full of insightful teaching that provides Bible-based perspective and procedures for shepherding your child's heart into the paths of life. Great for parents with children of any age, this course is designed to equip you with practical strategies, expert insights, and a supportive community as you raise your children. The class is 12 weeks long and runs until December. It is $30 per couple to cover the cost of materials. Please call or email [email protected] for questions or an application.

Four of our very own Heritage Oak students were able to attend the Repairing the Ruins Conference in Atlanta, Georgia this past summer! They had the privilege of singing in the ACCS National Honor Choir, directed by Dr. David Erb of the New Saint Andrews University Music Conservatory. During this event, select students from Classical Christian Schools from all over the United States come together for instruction, encouragement, and training as they sharpen their singing skills for God’s glory. New families will also have a separate Q & A session at the close of our regular meeting. Please remember that this is a mandatory event and both parents are expected to attend.

There’s just one week until the first day of school! Are you ready? Secondary student orientation will be held next Monday and Tuesday, August 10th and 11th in the Chapel from 9am-2pm on Monday & 9am-12pm on Tuesday. This is a mandatory meeting for ALL Secondary students. They will receive important information regarding schedules and the Information Handbook. House games will also be part of the day!
Immediately following Tuesday's orientation, we will have a Secondary Pool Party! Be sure to fill out the permission forms on Gradelink or turn them in to the office by Wednesday, August 5th! Please see the summer newsletter email for important details about lunch and swimwear.

Remember, forms are due August 5th, no exceptions!
