Inside our Basket (Thank you Lexi) is a special Easter Treat Bag that has their Magic Jellybean Rainbow Sucker inside). Each child will receive a Frisbee, Bubble Wand and a New Bouncy Ball. All the children picked out their colors and are very excited to take their special treats home!

Happy Easter Weekend to Everyone - Your child is so excited for the arrival of the Bunny! This week we celebrated two special birthdays, Lennox turned 2 and Raegan turned 3! They brought in a special treat and were so excited that they friends celebrated with them! We have two more birthdays the end of this week...Mine (not going to tell you my age...lol) and Evelyn who will turn 9 on Saturday. Axton will turn 4 in a couple weeks - April was truly the month of Spring arrivals! On Monday, we surprised the littles with the traditional SHAVING OF SCOTTYS beard & hair! They were so excited to see his transformation and so was I. Monday was also our LAST PAJAMA Day due to the warmer temps appearing. We spent as much time as we could outside this week before rain and sprinkles of snowflakes appeared. While we were outside on Tuesday the children planted their Magic Jellybeans. They did taste test a few colors first. Inside we worked on a couple Easter projects, please have the children share their work and experience with you. Inside their folder is Paint dabber Easter Egg sheet, another Easter Egg that was decorated using Fruit loops and a Bunny facing away, just showing his little cotton tail. We hope your children enjoy the special treats, their Magic Jelly Bean Rainbow Sucker, frisbees, bouncy balls and bubble wands this weekend. he children are so excited to share the contents of their Friday Folders with you. Please sit with them, engaged and let them tell you what they did! They created a Yellow Spring Chick with strips of paper, some children that were absent last week finished their Cloud & Rainbow, others finished their Spring Flower with our dabber paints. We worked on another Spring Flower and let the children add details using their fingers...a yellow sun, a blue sky and green grass. They squished up squares of tissue paper which is a great fine motor skill, it strengthens the fingers for pre writing! They then added their tissue flowers to decorate a Spring Tree. They used paint dabbers and eye stickers to complete their Spring Worm. We did talk about the Green, Black or Brown Worms appearing in the spring, but this is the children's artwork and they seemed to like a variety of colors!! We spent alot of time outdoors this week working on our gross motor skills. They ran and ran and ran, jumped, scooped, climbed, swang, caught a ball, balanced on a beam and then ran some more. They played hide and seek and freeze tag...they bonded with their friends, smiled and had FUN! Thank you for another great week with your children, always new adventures and learning! This week in your child's Friday folder you will find their Rainbow Cloud, Mr. Shamrock Man, a Green Sticker Worksheet and their Spring Flower. Worksheets for older children included recognzing the pattern instructions, finding letters E & M. We enjoyed lots of time outside as the weather was a little warmer and dryer. The children loved it! What a fun Dr. Seuss Week. We read books & rhymes. Talked about Dr. Seuss as a children's book author. Simple terms for the littles, Dr. Seuss wrote these fun and crazy books, and we celebrate his Birthday as Reading Month. Inside your child's folder they created a Cat-in-the-Hat, Green Eggs & Ham, Red Fish/Blue Fish, paint dabber a circle and a square. The children worked on Dr. Seuss coloring art work and filled their pages with color while taking their time to do their best work! So proud of your littles. They follow directions well, pick up their work, are kind to their friends and great helpers. We have so much fun with them! Thank you for sharing your hearts with us, we absolutely love them. A very busy week - Inside your child's Friday Folder you will find a Colored Book Mark with Stickers, a great fine motor activity. We talked about books, reading from left to right, turning the pages carefully (to prevent damage) and placing the bookmark inside the page where you finished and want to start reading again. We worked on finding the letter H and then used our Valentine Stampers to decorate INSIDE THE HEART. Great Listeners! We colored 6 hearts and glued them onto a tray, painted our Tooth using red toothpaste (lol). We talked about the importance of brushing our teeth really good to remove the germs as they can cause cavities. This is why we see the Dentist, to keep our teeth and gums healthy. Willow Pediatric Dentistry gave each child a new toothbrush, stickers and parent information. They recommend that all children have their 1st visit at age one to check their teeth. We painted using new tools, a toothbrush, craft stick and a thimble. The children loved seeing what prints were made afterwards. The favorite was the thimble. We colored the letter S and then used our paint dabbers to dot each circle around the S. We will be posting the March Calendar on Sunday. Watch for important dates and information!
