We would like to thank everyone who has donated to our center throughout the last week! Because of all the food donations, we can put our money towards other expenses for this month to try to catch up. We have had an abundance of food given to us and may need to take a break from the food donations for now. I am just amazed at how much the parents of our center and the community has helped us and we cannot thank you all enough. We are working hard to hopefully bring more awareness to the problems daycares and all small businesses are facing today. Thank you all so much for your kindness!

Here are some examples of things we need for meals and snacks...
Whole grain bread, bagels, English muffins, Texas toast, tortillas, bisquick, flour, triscuits, pretzels, animal crackers, cheez it's, goldfish, Ritz, club crackers, wheat thins, peanut butter crackers, Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, veggie straws, and anything similar to these items can be used. We like to use as much whole grain items as we can due to regulations for the food program(CACFP). We appreciate everyone who has helped us out so far! I cannot put into words how much it means to us! 💜

As everyone knows, the economy is not good and causing a lot of issues for small businesses. Minimum wage has increased so much causing, not only our payroll, but our taxes and insurance to skyrocket! Daycares are struggling more than anyone realizes. I have been comparing being a director of a daycare today is like being the captain of a ship and the ship is sinking. Daycare prices are high, yes, but that doesn't mean we are making money. These prices are being raise to try to break even anyway that we can. It is absolutely impossible and providers are giving up throughout the state. I want to bring awareness to this issue because I don't think many people are aware of the things we are all going through. Without childcare, what would we do? Parents will have to transition to single income households so that one parent can stay with the children, which is already happening. This daycare means alot to me and I am going to fight but I'm realizing it may be time to ask for a little help. With that being said, our center has gotten to a point that we cannot afford to buy groceries right now and we are asking if anyone would have any food donations. This could be anything like canned/frozen/fresh fruits and veggies, crackers, cereal, milk and other dairy products, eggs, meat, etc.
