Today, our JCC seniors had the opportunity to learn more about the Nebraska State Patrol, True Ag and Turf, UNK, UNO, J-Six Enterprises, Truck Center, Tuttle Inc., Western National Bank, and college planning from EducationQuest. Some of our JCC students learned about various careers and colleges today. Thank you to our presenters from Nebraska Public Power District, Iowa Western CC, Lincoln Electrical JATC, Southeast CC, Peru State College, UNK, Bryan Health, and the Army. We will have more presenters tomorrow.

We're all having a great experience attending the Skills USA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta. So far, Zeke has competed in Action Skills and Salena and Juanita have competed in Career Pathways- Arts and Communications. They have all been collecting Skills USA pins from students from different states and representatives from the many companies in attendance. Zeke got one from every state and territory in attendance! We have all had many opportunities to learn a lot of new information about careers and to network with many different employers and career organizations.

Bus is loaded....ready to leave for the Skills USA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta with 52 other Skills USA students from Nebraska!!! We have students competing in Action Skills and Career Pathways- Arts and Communications. It's great to have two national qualifying events in the first year we've had a chapter here at JCC!

Zeke, Hailey, Rue, and Millie qualify for Skills USA Nationals in Atlanta June 24th-28th, not bad for the first year that JCC has had a Skills USA chapter. Tecumseh High School had a chapter for several years, years ago, but this is the first year JCC has had one.
