Grill Masters!

We are so proud of our 9 Claiborne County 4-H members who competed in the Grill Masters contest! These 4-H’ers have worked hard preparing and practicing, and they did an amazing job representing our county.

A special congratulations to our four Grill Masters who placed in the Top 10 in their divisions:

Hannah Payne – Claiborne High School – 6th Place, Senior High Lamb
Kaylee Luckadoo – 6th Place, Junior High Beef
Autumn Renfro – 6th Place, Junior High Poultry
Zachary Hall – 6th Place, Junior High Lamb

We are proud of all nine of our Grill Masters! Beyond the scores and placings, they showed great teamwork, positive attitudes, and determination throughout the contest. It has been wonderful watching their skills and confidence grow!

It's fair season and we are searching for State Fair entries! If you have pint or half-pint jars of Jam, Jelly, or preserves that you have canned this year, and you would like to enter one in the State Fair, let us know! Contact the Claiborne County Extension Office and we will get your entry to the drop off location by August 6th.
