Parent and Guardians: Today, you may have received a small magnet with a QR code in your child’s folder. Please put this magnet on your fridge and when your child has to be absent, hold your phone’s camera up the magnet’s QR code and it will take you to the link to report your child’s absence. This can prevent phone calls home and save everyone some time!

💚 TPS Families 💚

Coming back to school after a weekend can be difficult for some of our youngest Bulldogs. If your child had a hard time separating from you or coming into school this morning, please know that you are not alone—and tomorrow is a brand-new day!

A consistent evening routine can make mornings much easier. Please help your child get plenty of sleep and limit electronics, especially before bedtime. Continue speaking positively about school and reminding your child that school is a safe, happy place where they are loved, cared for, and capable of doing hard things.

Simple affirmations can make a big difference:

🐾 “You are brave.”
🐾 “You are safe at school.”
🐾 “Your teachers are excited to see you.”
🐾 “You can do hard things.”
🐾 “I am proud of you.”

Thank you for partnering with us as our students build confidence and adjust to their new routines. We love our littlest Bulldogs and are so proud of them! 💚🐾

It was a wonderful first day except for the torrential rain that started right when the buses arrived to pick up the kids! Let’s do it again tomorrow, all except the rain.

Please read and share! If you do not have a TPS placard for your rear view mirror with your child’s name on it for pick up today, you need to stop by the main office before 2:00 today!

It’s the night before the first day of school and I am excited like I have been for the past 33 years. Everyone has worked so hard to get ready for the littles to come back in the building. Tomorrow will bring big emotions for some of the children and adults alike. Here is some last minute advice from me.
❤️If your child is crying when you drop them off, trust us when we tell you to go on and leave. They will be fine, and we will contact you if they are not.
❤️The traffic will be crazy in the morning and the afternoon, but it will eventually work itself out. So many want to drop the kids off for their first day and we understand that, but I do encourage you to do what you plan to do all year starting tomorrow.
❤️On that note, make sure your child’s teacher is aware of their afternoon transportation plans- either parent pick up or bus rider.
❤️Look through their book bags tomorrow and every day. Check the communication folders for important information.
❤️Read the information I posted the other day about drop off and pick up!
❤️Encourage them to eat breakfast and lunch at school!
❤️Make sure your Pre-K, K and 1st graders wear those lanyards this first week!
❤️Join Class Dojo.
