We had so much fun dancing, singing, and listening to Isla and her dad share their musical talents this week in Mrs. Charles’ classroom at Stony Point! 🎶💃🕺

A huge thank you to Isla’s family for spending time with us and helping create such a joyful and meaningful experience for our children. We truly loved it! ❤️

Moments like these are so important because they strengthen the connection between home and school, build children’s confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of learning through positive relationships.

In Head Start, we deeply value family engagement, including the powerful impact of male involvement. Fathers, grandfathers, and other male caregivers play a vital role in children’s development by modeling positive relationships, supporting learning, and showing children they are valued and supported. When families are engaged in the classroom, children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. 🌟

We are grateful for families who take time to share their talents and presence with our classrooms—this was truly special!

We’re so excited to share highlights from our Community Health & Safety Fair last Friday! 💛

A huge THANK YOU to our community partners and sponsors for showing up and supporting our families—you made such a meaningful impact.

Thank you to all the children and families who came out and made the day so special. We loved seeing you connect, learn, and have fun!

We also appreciate all of the planning, coordination, and teamwork that went into this event. Thank you to Michelle Fox and Karen Rodriguez for leading and organizing the fair, along with our amazing Family Advocates and Head Start staff who helped bring everything together.

A special thank you to Deal Orchards, Inc for generously donating apples for our families to enjoy! 🍎

This truly was one of our best events yet—we can’t wait to do it again! 🎉

Congratulations to Ms.Carolette Ross, for being nominated as an Alexander County Schools All-Star! We are very proud of you!

Congratulations to Carolette Ross, a teacher with Head Start at Stony Point Elementary School. She's our latest Alexander All-Star. Katie McElwee says, "She is an incredible teacher. She has gone above and beyond for her students. My son is thriving academically and I am so proud of to call her my son's teacher. She is a valuable asset to the teaching community and I appreciate everything she does."
