📚 AP students in Alexander County Schools are raising the bar for NC. We’re celebrating that in 2024-25 in ACS, 154 students took an AP exam. Of those, 78% earned qualifying scores, a three or higher.
We’re proud that our district’s momentum is part of a record-breaking year across North Carolina:
✅ 90,000 students statewide took at least one AP exam
✅ 72.1% earned scores qualifying for college credit at UNC System institutions (that’s higher than the national average!)
👏 Shoutout to our students and AP teachers — your work opens doors.

Congratulations to AP Academy Junior, Brooklyn Stanley, who has been accepted to attend Wake Forest University's Summer Immersion Sports Medicine Institute this summer!

Students will be exposed to innovative methods of medical care for athletes, explore the various career options in the field of sports medicine and gain hands-on educational experiences in the fundamentals of sports medicine, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athletic performance.

Way to go Brooklyn!

AP Academy sophomore, Macyn King, attended Resource Conservation Workshop at NC State. This opportunity was provided by Alexander County Soil and Water who works with our AP Environmental Science classes throughout the year.
