For September, the kids chose Mrs. Tommy’s McNeely from the CTE department. Miss Tommye greats every student coming in the front door everyday with a smile - no matter what the weather!! It’s so nice to see that sweet smile and sunny disposition each day! Thank you Miss Tommye for making coming to school a little better each day!!

Today was our first meeting of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy. And it was GREAT. The students split up into 3 teams to being their service and leader journey. Below are our 3 groups:

Congratulations to the following students who were chosen by the staff at ACHS to be the 24-25 members of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy. Our first meeting is this Wednesday at 7am in Mrs. Reid's room (there'll be Chick-Fil-A)
This class promotes leadership by allowing these young students to meet once a month with a short academic piece, then plan various Service Projects for both the school and the community.
This year, we are partnering with the SUD (Substance Use Disorder) Prevention Coalition of Alexander County. So stay tuned!

So, tonight is double votes for donations - now I’m not asking for votes that way - trust me I’m not - but if you are so inclined, it is tax deductible.

By Thursday, I have to be 1st in my group to continue on to the NEXT level, which is the quarterfinals. So, we have a little work to do.

Again, if I’m lucky enough to win, the $$s will go to the ACHS Marching Cougar Band, after taxes and whatever other fees there are

Are you ready for some dodge ball??

Join in the Chick-fil-a Leader Academy’s Dodgeball Tournament!!

All proceeds will benefit the New Life Thrift Store in Bethlehem! The store does so much to help our community by providing free clothing and housewares when needed, as well as funds for other programs. Because of the widening of 127, they are faced with having to relocate. These funds are to help them with that relocation.
