Argh Matey! Underwater Adventure with Pirates, Princesses, and MERGE Cubes!

On Pirate and Princess Day, Bethlehem kindergarten students embarked on an exciting underwater adventure using Merge Cubes to explore the wonders of the ocean in 3D augmented reality. Students learned all about the octopus and then explored fascinating sea creatures and their habitats of their choosing.

Webs of Life: Unraveling Nature's Food Web 🌎🌱🦉

5th grade students participated in a station rotation to review for the EOGs. Mrs. Esposito’s digital learning station had students reviewing and creating food webs using MERGE World. Students recreated food webs like 🐋🐙🦅🐜🌱 to visualize producers, consumers, and decomposers. This interactive activity made learning about ecological relationships engaging and memorable, blending technology with creativity to enhance their understanding of energy flow in nature.

Winged Wonders: Exploring Coding and Alphabet Magic with Finches in K-2 STEM 🤖🐦
K-2 students from Mrs. LeAnne Johnson Stocks, Ms. Annie Joe Cothren, and Ms. Tasha Bumgarner Sweet classes from Sugar Loaf learned to code Finch robots today. Using the STEM alphabet, students discovered the building blocks of coding as they crafted words with their Finch. Each letter displays a STEM word, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning about STEM. Students loved learning how to program the Finch using the sounds and lights features too.

"WildTech Explorers: Navigating Nature's Code with Finches" 🌿🐦 🤖

Mrs. Anderson's 5th-grade class went on an adventurous coding expedition, as they journeyed through various biomes with the help of their coding robots, the Finches. 🤖🐦 Together, they decoded biome clues and maze-like terrains.

This coding experience not only hones computational thinking skills (1.5) but also empowers educators to provide learning opportunities, encouraging students to embrace the design process and computational thinking (2.6.c) as outlined in the NC Student Standards for Digital Learning. 📚✨

Wittenburg Wildcats Rocked it Out🤘 Collaboratively, Mrs. Jessica Esposito, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Fox, and Mrs. Wright designed an engaging station rotation lesson that immersed students in the world of North Carolina rocks. 🌍 Learners actively explored, zoomed, virtually dissected rocks, text features, and real-world applications, using MERGE Cubes to journey into a world of geological marvels. With stunning 3D imagery and augmented reality, those rocks burst to life right before their eyes! They also were able to hold, shake, and look at the real rocks too!🪨💥
