Missional focus: Jesus instructed his followers to take the gospel to the nations. Here at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville Christian School, we believe children need the exposure and opportunity to serve, and a missional focus is a part of our educational program. Children, who participate in this type of education process, tend to be more civilized and tend to focus less on themselves and more on the needs of those around them. Students who attend our program will be encouraged and allowed to participate in activities and projects to serve their community.

Yesterday we welcomed Anna Grace with MSU Extension for a fun and informative session on healthy lunches. Our students wrapped up the afternoon with a fresh fruit snack made right here at school.

We had a wonderful visit from Tina Phillipson with MSU Extension Service today. She taught our students all about rice — where it’s grown and how farmers cultivate it. We ended the lesson with a sweet surprise: Rice Krispie treats. We are so thankful for her expertise and fun ideas!

✨ Celebrating Student Achievement ✨

We’re excited to share some amazing academic growth from our students:

• A student scored in the 95th percentile, reading at a 9th‑grade level.
• Another student who Needed individualized instruction placed in the top 5 of the class with tremendous progress.
• And a rising 8th grader tested at an impressive 10th‑grade reading level.

At FBCTCS, one of our favorite parts of learning=field trips! Today we visited the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art and had lunch at Pasquale’s. 📚💙

What an amazing first day at FBCTCS! Our students walked in with bright smiles, eager hearts, and so much excitement for the year ahead. Classrooms were buzzing as everyone met their teachers, settled into routines, and jumped right into learning. We’re thankful for a smooth, joyful start and can’t wait for all that God has in store this year! 💛📚✨
