🏗️ Taylor School District Bond Update
Exciting progress continues at Taylor High School as crews work toward completing several major improvements through the 2021 Bond Program!

🎾 Tennis Courts: The North Tennis Courts received a concrete pour on August 20, with the South Court scheduled to follow on August 27.

🏈 Athletic Field: Turf installation continues to move forward, and the 50-yard line logo is officially in place!

🏟️ Concession Building and Toilet Rooms: Masonry work is nearing completion, while roofing, ductwork, ceiling framing, interior painting, electrical work, and exterior concrete continue to progress.

⚾ Baseball Field: Grading is underway in preparation for concrete curb installation and the stone subbase.

🚧 Site Improvements: Storm utility work continues throughout the site, along with preparations for paving. Upcoming work will also include asphalt patching, crack sealing, and restriping of the north parking lot.

The project remains on track for the athletic field to be fully operational for the first home football game on September 3rd!

🏫High School: Design of the high school renovations is over 50% complete and is on track for the first round of bids to be received in early Spring 2027. The multi-phased construction commences in late Summer 2027 with a completion in December 2030. Renovations of occupied facilities require a higher level of planning and design to best prioritize the sequence of renovation work to minimize disruptions while providing cost effective solutions to upgrade the facility like new construction.

We are so excited to welcome our new Year One Cosmetology students for the 2026–2027 school year! This is our second year offering this amazing program, and we can’t wait to see all that this new group will learn, create, and accomplish. 💕✂️

A big GOOD LUCK to our Year One students as they begin this exciting journey! We also want to wish our returning Year Two students the very best as they enter their final year. 🎓✨ They will make history as our first students to complete the program and sit for the state cosmetology licensing exam! What an exciting milestone!

Construction continues to move forward on the new Taylor High School athletic facilities, and exciting progress is happening across the site! Here's a look at what's taking shape:

🎾 Tennis Courts – The stone base has been placed and compacted, creating the foundation for the new courts.

🏈⚽ Athletic Field – Work continues on the new field as crews prepare the site for the next phases of construction installing the synthetic turf.

🚧 Track Fencing – New fencing is being installed around the track to enhance safety and security.

💡 Stadium Lighting – New power cables installed to light poles and fixtures in process of being installed.

⚾🥎 Dugouts – Construction is underway on the new home and visitor dugouts.

🏟️ Concession Stand – Roof trusses are now in place, marking another major milestone for the new concession building.

🚻 Toilet Room Facilities – Framing and plumbing rough-ins are complete for the future toilet room building.

Every milestone brings us one step closer to providing our students and community with modern, high-quality athletic facilities. Thank you to our community for your continued support of the 2021 Bond.

While construction continues on our athletic facilities, planning is also moving forward for the Taylor High School redesign. We are in the final phases of the design process and anticipate moving into bidding this fall. The design reflects valuable feedback from our students, staff, families, and community, with a focus on enhanced safety, improved academic spaces, greater efficiency, and more natural light throughout the building. Stay tuned for renderings and additional design updates coming this fall!
