🏅🦆 Congratulations to our August 1+ Coin of Excellence recipients!

Clara Lopez, bilingual teacher at Main Street Elementary, is our staff recipient! Ms. Lopez goes above and beyond to support students and families both inside and outside the classroom. 💚

Our student recipients are THS students Landon Coulter, Jose Martinez, and Grace Yanez! This summer, they worked alongside our Maintenance and Technology teams, supporting technology upgrades, building projects, and more across the district. 🛠️💻

Congratulations to all four for showing us 1+ in action! 🌟

🦆Duck Day was a quacking success! 🦆

We kicked off the fall sports season with lots of Duck spirit at Duck Day! Families and fans had the chance to meet our Football, Volleyball, and Tennis teams, along with our Cheer, Hi-Steppers, Color Guard, and Band!

The evening was filled with spirited introductions, the fight song from the Taylor Duck Band & Guard, cheers led by our Cheer team, and plenty of green and white pride! 💚🤍 It was the perfect way to bring our athletes, families, and community together to celebrate Taylor Athletics and get ready for the season ahead.

We also heard from the Athletic Booster Club and TEE Foundation, highlighting the incredible support behind our student-athletes.

The energy and community spirit at Duck Day set the tone for an incredible season! Let's go, Ducks! 🦆💚

🤖💰 A $100,000 investment in our students and Taylor’s future!

A huge thank you to the Taylor Economic Development Corporation for its generous $100,000 donation supporting robotics programs at Taylor High School and Legacy Early College High School! 🦆⚙️

The funding will help Legacy build on its successful first year of competition while helping THS launch a competitive robotics program of its own.

Through robotics, students gain hands-on experience in engineering, coding, electronics, fabrication, design, marketing, and teamwork, building skills connected to high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, aerospace, and technology. 💻🔧

We’re grateful for community partners who invest in opportunities that help our students discover new interests, build real-world skills, and prepare for what comes next!

🌍✈️ Taylor Takes Europe!

This summer, our Taylor High School students set out on an unforgettable adventure through London, Paris and Rome, led by Mrs. Gonzalez, THS English Teacher and trip leader.

From the London Eye and Buckingham Palace to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Colosseum and Vatican City, our Ducks experienced history, culture and some of the world’s most iconic landmarks firsthand.

It was an incredible opportunity for our students to learn beyond the classroom, experience new cultures and create memories that will last a lifetime.

And the journey doesn’t stop here! Taylor High School is already planning its next international adventures:

Summer 2027: Germany, Switzerland and Venice 🇩🇪🇨🇭🇮🇹

Summer 2028: Italy, France, Monaco and Spain, including the French Riviera 🇮🇹🇫🇷🇲🇨🇪🇸

We can’t wait to see where our Ducks go next and the experiences they’ll bring home with them. The world is waiting, and Taylor ISD is excited to help our students explore it! 💚

📢 Duck Day Schedule Update 📢

Sharing an important update for tonight’s Duck Day activities:

Crockett’s Sub Varsity team was involved in a vehicle accident while traveling to Taylor. We are thankful to hear that everyone is OK and they are currently on their way to Taylor.

As a result, the JV scrimmage will begin 30 minutes later than originally scheduled, and Duck Day will now begin at 6:30 p.m.

Thank you for your understanding, and we’re wishing everyone from Crockett safe travels to Taylor.

Celebrating the Start of Something Exciting at Taylor High School!

Taylor High School was honored to welcome the Foundation for Korean Language and Culture as we celebrated the launch of our newly established Korean language classes and welcomed our inaugural cohort of students!

To mark the occasion, the Foundation generously donated books to support our new program and shared Korean snacks with the class. 📚🍪

This exciting opportunity will help our students build valuable language skills, deepen their appreciation for Korean culture, and prepare for success in an increasingly interconnected world. It will also strengthen our connections with industry partners like Samsung as we work together to build a culturally aware, globally minded workforce ready to embrace the growing opportunities in our community. 🌎💚

We are so excited to see where this new program takes our students! 🇰🇷🦆

Our littlest Ducks at T.H. Johnson Elementary kicked off their first few days of school with a very special mission: find Pete the Cat! 🐾📚

Pete left clues around campus, sending our Pre-K students on an adventure as they explored some of their new favorite places, including the library, cafeteria, gym, nurse’s office, music room, and STEM room. Along the way, they also learned important hallway expectations and got to know their new school!

After following all the clues, our little detectives finally discovered Pete’s hiding spot... Mr. Basche’s office! 🔎

This beloved T.H. Johnson tradition is always a fun way for our littlest Ducks to explore their new school, learn the ropes, and start the year with a little adventure! 🦆

It was a fun-filled, spirit-packed Saturday for our Taylor Duck Cheerleaders! 📣💚 They spent the morning with the future of Taylor Cheer at our Little Duck Cheer Camp: Under the Sea! 🧜‍♀️🐚🫧

Our Littlest Duck Cheerleaders dove into a morning of fun, learning cheers, chants, dances, and crafts while spending time with and learning from our JV & Varsity Cheerleaders! 📣💚🌊

And the fun isn’t over! These future cheerleaders will get to perform alongside our THS Cheer Team at the Varsity home game on October 16! 🎉

📅 Mark your calendars and come out to cheer them on!
