๐ŸŒŸ Student Highlight: Learning, Leading & Exploring!

Taylor High School freshman Amy Robles is starting her high school journey with some incredible experiences already under her belt!

For the past three summers, Amy has participated in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference, traveling across the country to explore American history while developing skills in leadership, decision-making, social awareness and self-management.

This summer, Amy traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, where she joined students from across the country to learn about the modern Civil Rights Movement. Her experience included visits to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, National Center for Civil and Human Rights and Atlanta History Center, along with immersive history simulations, group activities and leadership development. She even had the opportunity to experience college life by staying on a college campus!

Her previous conference experiences took her to Washington, D.C., and Boston, where she visited historic sites including the White House, U.S. Capitol, Plymouth and Salem.

Weโ€™re proud of Amy for seeking out opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and develop her leadership skills as she begins her journey at Taylor High School! ๐Ÿฆ†

๐Ÿฆ† Texas Education Commissioner Visits Taylor ISD!

On October 7, Taylor ISD welcomed Commissioner Mike Morath, ESC Region 13, and Rep. Harris Davila to Naomi Pasemann Elementary for a firsthand look at the teaching and learning happening in our classrooms!

The visit highlighted the outstanding teaching and learning behind Taylor ISD's academic progress, including a 16-point increase in our state accountability score over four years, earning a B rating (80) for 2025โ€“2026!

We were especially proud to showcase the classrooms of Ms. Brynne Doss, Ms. Marissa Barrios and Ms. Susan Kruger, three Teacher Incentive Allotment-designated educators whose dedication to high-quality reading and math instruction reflects the incredible work happening across our district.

This progress is a team effort, and we're proud to share our story!

โœจ Celebrating the people who help Taylor ISD shine! โœจ

Last Friday, our campuses took time to celebrate our amazing custodians for Custodian Appreciation Day! ๐Ÿ’š

From early mornings to long days, our custodians are the people behind the scenes who keep our schools clean, welcoming, safe and ready for students and staff each day. Their hard work often happens quietly, but the difference they make is seen throughout every corner of our district.

To all of our Taylor ISD custodians: thank you for all you do! We appreciate you, weโ€™re grateful for you, and we truly couldnโ€™t do it without you. Thank you for going above and beyond to help keep Taylor ISD shining! โœจ
