Today was a memorable day at the Career Center as we gathered to celebrate a significant milestone for our newest JROTC instructor, Master Sergeant (MSG) Banks. Though he’s new to our campus, MSG Banks brings with him a wealth of experience, dedication, and leadership from a distinguished military career.
In a touching ceremony, his previous command team and several of his longtime colleagues visited the Career Center to present him with his official retirement award. It was a powerful moment of recognition and reflection, not only for MSG Banks but also for our JROTC cadets and staff who had the honor of witnessing it.
MSG Banks is the newest—and only—addition to our JROTC instructional team this year, and it’s already clear that he brings an invaluable presence to the program. His dedication to mentoring the next generation of leaders shines through every day.
Congratulations, MSG Banks, on your retirement and your new role here with us. We’re grateful to be part of this exciting next chapter in your journey.

Staff of the Week: Emily Sexton 🌟

We are thrilled to recognize Emily Sexton as our Staff of the Week! Emily has gone above and beyond this year, helping lead our school’s Special Olympics team with dedication and heart. Her impact extends throughout our building—she consistently supports students with reading assessments, academic assistance, and is always ready to lend a helping hand.

Emily also serves as a mentor to new staff members and is a valued part of our front office team. Her positivity, commitment, and leadership make her an incredible asset to our school community.

We are so lucky to have Emily at our school—she truly is the best! 💙👏
