Yesterday, Golden Ark had the solemn honor of touring The Wall That Heals at Heritage Park.
Standing before the names etched into the Wall is a powerful reminder that behind every name was a son, brother, husband, father, friend, and fellow American. The Wall calls us to remember not only those who gave their lives, but also the sacrifices carried by those who returned home.
As Freemasons, we are taught to meet upon the level, to practice charity, and never to forget those who have served and sacrificed for others. In the presence of this memorial, those principles take on an even deeper meaning: we remember, we honor, and we carry their memory forward.
Thank you to all the men and women who served during the Vietnam War, and especially to the 58,281 servicemen whose names are forever inscribed upon this Wall. May we never forget their sacrifice, their service, or the lives they left behind.
