Today is the day! The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency will open applications for the PA Student Teacher Support Program on April 16. Last year, demand exceeded available funding, so it’s important to apply early.

Eligible student teachers can receive $10,000, with up to $2,500 available for cooperating teachers. In return, recipients commit to teaching in Pennsylvania for three years after certification.

To apply, you’ll need:
• Social Security Number
• Full name and date of birth
• Contact information
• Institution of Higher Education
• Semester of Student Teaching
• Program level
• Certification

Who knew fighting hunger required such elite superhero training?
