Just Simply Sandy My name is Sandy the Creative maker behind JustSimplySandy, designing handmade crochet and doll clothes with love and detail. I was born in Ft. Myers.

I also write children’s stories full of imagination, kindness, and life lessons, bringing ideas to life through yarn and words. I am a grandmother of five beautiful children. With three of them being little girls, you can bet I have been sewing my fingers to the bones. I started this new found love when I wanted dance skirts for a group of kids I worked with. Prior to this my husband and I would s

pend our evenings together making jewelry. I was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years, so you have to learn to be crafty. I love making those "Time out dolls" . It's special when someone has their child's favorite outfit and we can put it on a doll for their keepsake. I have been pretty busy with crocheting animals, kids love to have a little study buddy they can hug. I am semi retired now, so that gives me more time to craft. Now if things open up from the Covid 19, I hope to attend some craft shows and make extra money.

This reminded me so much of the things we did with the homeless in Ft. Myers. I remember my first experience with homelessness, it changed my life and I will never forget that feeling.
