We made "dirt & worms" pudding last week! Yummy 😋

We L❤️VE when old friends come back to spend the summer with us. These two met back in 2018 and here they are now. 😍

Last week we talked about seeds and the four things they need to grow (air, sun, water & soil-our fancy word for dirt as the kids say). They were super excited to see them sprout this week! 🌱

I play many different roles every day. By 7:30 am today I was a Dr/surgeon because one of the baby dolls had lost a leg - yup, it was completely amputated. I threw on a mask and the kids rushed the baby to the operating room. I am happy to report that it was a successful reattachment and I handed the post op care to the kids so I could go play chef and make breakfast. Not every day is great but overall I love my job. 😊

We released our Painted Lady butterflies last week! 🦋

There was a lot of excitement after rest time yesterday! Two butterflies had emerged from their chrysalides (or cocoons). We had observed in the morning that a few of the chrysalides had gotten very dark which is a sign that the butterfly is almost ready to come out.

The kids were over the top super excited about the baby chicks that arrived earlier this month. We've been caring for them by making sure they have water, food and are warm enough. The kids have even serenaded them, complete with guitar! The chicken breeds we have will lay white eggs, very dark brown eggs and pretty blue eggs!
