Meet Our Staff Monday

This week we’re excited to introduce Ms. Alicia Travaglione, our Middle School Social Studies Teacher!

Starting her: 2nd year at OLOL

Hobbies: Spending time with her daughters, participating in and watching sports (Roll Tide!), and cooking for family and friends

Favorite Food: Italian & Seafood

Favorite OLOL Memory: The daily laughs and conversations with her students that always make her smile

Fun Fact: Ms. Travaglione has had the incredible opportunity to work with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Boston Bruins, and San Antonio Spurs!

Ms. Travaglione has quickly become an invaluable member of our OLOL family. Although she teaches middle school Social Studies, she makes a point to build relationships with students of every age. Whether she’s greeting elementary students in the hallway, lending a helping hand in the younger grades, or simply sharing a smile, she makes every child feel seen and valued.

Her positive attitude and cheerful personality are contagious. As one of our cheer coaches, it’s a common sight to see students excitedly stop her in the gym to show off a new stunt, cheer, or skill they’ve been practicing. She’s also the kind of teacher who isn’t afraid to pick up a basketball and shoot around with students because she genuinely enjoys connecting with them beyond the classroom.

In her classroom, Ms. Travaglione has transformed Social Studies into an experience. Through creative, hands-on projects like building Egyptian pyramids and producing a weekly student newspaper that circulates throughout the school, she brings history to life in meaningful and memorable ways. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to go the extra mile inspire students to be engaged and excited to learn.

We’re incredibly grateful for the energy, positivity, and dedication Ms. Travaglione brings to Our Lady of Lourdes School. She has become a wonderful addition to our middle school, and our entire school community is better because she’s a part of it.
