BP students are ready to respond in any emergency!

Every sophomore at BP (more than 300 students) gets CPR, First Aid, and AED trained and certified. Whether on a job site, at a CO-OP placement, or anywhere in the world, BP students are prepared to render life-saving aid.

Today, this group scored 100% CPR certification and will explore first aid and AED training later this quarter.

Big thanks to BP health teachers Bethany Daniels, Thomas Rodrigues, and Amanda Reynolds for leading this vital training!

From Portugal to BP Tech: bringing the world to our students through learning, innovation, and connection.

Today, we were proud to welcome the Atlantic Junior Award delegation from Portugal to BP Tech. Three Portuguese high school students won a national competition for their scientific excellence and got the chance to present their work and explore Massachusetts' rich Portuguese connections, including innovative vocational education right here at BP Tech.

While here, the group presented their findings on an innovative solution for utilizing excess and invasive marine macroalgae to extract struvite, a combustion retardant that helps mitigate algal blooms while contributing to forest fire prevention.

Afterward, they toured our facilities and learned about the amazing opportunities available in a vocational setting. It was a tremendous experience for both BP and Portuguese students alike.

We would like to thank the Fundação Luso-Americana and Bridgewater State University for the opportunity to host such an inspiring morning at BP Tech!

It’s a bit surreal looking out from our new building at the original 1972 structure coming down.

Demolition crews are officially on scene, clearing the footprint for the final phase of the BP project, updated athletic fields.

It's hard to watch the walls coming down, but it's a great reminder, the legacy of BP was never just about a building. It lives in the generations of Craftsmen, and community built inside it. It now lives with us here!

Visiting BP in the next week or so? Be on the look out for increased heavy machinery on the roads!

BP Community Impact!

We are proud of BP Carpentry student Collin Quental for designing and building this custom shoe shine box for the Freetown Police Department.

Our students are using their skills, craftsmanship, and creativity to serve the communities around them. Skills with purpose. Learning with impact. That is BP.

HANDCRAFTED WITH CARE 🔨

A few days ago, the Freetown Police Department received another thoughtful gift. This time from Mr. Collin Quental, a junior at Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School.

As a student in the school's Carpentry Program, Mr. Quental designed and handcrafted a custom shoe shine box at the request of Chief Rose. He even added finishing touches to give it a timeless, antique look while ensuring it is durable enough to support our officers as they prepare to serve the community.

We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Quental and Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School for using talent, craftsmanship, and education to create something both practical and meaningful. Outstanding work, and thank you for your dedication!

What a week, we're getting back into a good routine!

Many shops are still unpacking, setting up, and adjusting to our new spaces. This week, electrical students prepared electrical boxes for upcoming freshman exploratory sessions.

It’s a great skill review for our upperclassmen, all while introducing a younger generation to the basics of the trade.

Today Bristol-Plymouth came to life.

This first day will go down in history as the day BP Tech officially opened a brand-new chapter. From exploring the modern spaces and meeting teachers to powering up equipment across campus, today marks the start of incredible things to come. Welcome back, Craftsmen!

Tomorrow, we start a new chapter at Bristol Plymouth!

During today's sunrise, seniors celebrated the start of their final year, and the first in our state-of-the-art new building. We can't wait to have students in our new spaces tomorrow!
