Mayor's Office Spring 2026 Internship Program

Are you a college or high school student ready to explore the world of public service and gain hands-on experience that will build your skills for the future? Here’s your chance!

Position: Internship – Mayor’s Office

Hours: Flexible, 4–16 hours per week (based on your availability)

Location: Taunton City Hall, 15 Summer Street

Date: January 2026 - June 2026

What We’re Looking For:

No prior experience required — just bring your enthusiasm!

Strong communication skills (written and oral)

A passion for public service and community engagement

What You’ll Do:

As an intern in the Mayor’s Office, you’ll gain valuable insight into how local government works while contributing to meaningful projects, including:

Assisting with resident communications (phone calls, emails, letters)
Conducting research on important community topics
Drafting correspondence, memoranda, and website/social media content
Participating in special projects to enhance community engagement
