We will be having a small job fair on Tuesday, September 11th in the Student Lounge from 1pm - 3pm with the recruiting agency, 24seven.
24seven is a creative staffing agency in DTLA that specializes in finding opportunities for students and recent graduates in creative fields. From retail and fashion, to content/copywriting and various creative services, 24seven will be doing a massive hiring search in the surrounding area for the upcoming holiday season and beyond.
Zoe Huse and her team will be demonstrating how their services work and what types of opportunities are out there in various types of creative fields. For those of you who have been contacting us about getting "survival jobs", this is the event to attend!!!! Even if you don't have class on Tuesday, we suggest you come to get more information.
If you have a resume, bring it with you. If you don't have a resume, you should still attend to find out what steps you need to take. You can then make an appointment with our office in the coming weeks and we can assist you in creating one.

Pre-Production Assistant
We are producing our first independent feature, and looking for an individual interested in gaining experience in pre-production work and the various elements of getting a low-budget independent film made.
Duties would include assisting in many of the following areas: fundraising, budget, casting, wardrobe, props, transportation, cast, crew and union relations, travel, cast and crew accommodation, contracting of legal permissions and agreements, prep and shooting schedule, promotions, website, rehearsals, scheduling, mailings, etc...
This is a low-budget creative endeavor and grass-roots campaign effort to get our film made, so we need someone interested in gaining experience in producing an independent feature with unique potential, over individuals who are solely in search of extra income.
The position may be most beneficial/ideal for a student with some experience in these areas, who would like to build their resume and credits, as the pay is low, but the experience will be significant.

Grips and Electric - unpaid
This is a great opportunity to meet and work with film students from AFI.
Grip & electric crew needed for AFI short film. The film is a SCI FI drama set in a university science lab.
We are shooting Sat May 28th, Sun 29th and Tuesday May 31st ( no shoot on monday )

Executive Assistant/Social Media Manager
This is a great position for someone looking to grow with a company and is personable, self-motivated, resourceful, and organized, and has good social media marketing, verbal and written communication and research skills. Photoshop skills are a plus. Some production/post experience could be helpful but not necessary.
