Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies - Authorized Sherman Oaks CES All students who attend SOCES must apply through an application process outlined in the “Choices” brochure.

Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies is the largest magnet school in the Los Angeles Unified School District, 2100 students in the grades 4-12. SOCES is ranked #7 in the LAUSD and #73 in California by US News and World Reports. SOCES offers extensive AP classes and college credit classes at the high school level. The school features a robust AVID program, award winning Robotics Team, Athletic

Teams, Academic Decathlon Team, Culinary CTE Program, and Speech and Debate Team and offers a variety of clubs. The philosophy at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies is that parents and members of the community have the opportunity to share in the educational development of the students. Parents are encouraged to become involved at school.

Dear Sherman Oaks CES Students, Families, and Staff,
It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. I am truly honored to join a community known for its strong tradition of academic excellence, creativity, and inclusivity. I look forward to working alongside all of you to build upon this foundation and continue to make Sherman Oaks CES a place where every student thrives.
As we begin this school year, I want to share my unwavering commitment to supporting each member of our school family—students, staff, families, and community partners alike. My leadership is rooted in a deep belief in collaboration, transparency, and the importance of strong, supportive relationships. I am committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

Attention Region North Rising 10th - 12th graders. Want to accelerate your Summer? Region North is excited to partner with Mission, Valley and Pierce (MVP) Colleges to bring you advanced Summer college classes. Courses in Math, G Electives and VAPA (F requirement) in addition to career pathways and other enrichment will be offered. Please see flyer for program dates. You MUST pre-register in order to take a summer college course. You have one week to register, the deadline is Monday, May 5th. There will be mandatory information sessions in order to register for college classes. Link to preregister: Region North/MVP Summer 2025 College Program
