We specialize in math, writing, and test-taking, but we are happy to talk with you about any and all of your tutoring needs. In math, we work to demystify the Common Core program. We alleviate "math phobia” by presenting traditional solutions to the latest curriculum. Looking to improve your child's test-taking skills? They will learn test-taking strategies focused on:

• Increasing confidence
• Maintaining presence of mind by practicing relaxation techniques
• Demystifying the testing process by looking at the test as a game
• Increasing scores by building momentum and flow

MEET LEO...

Missing the advanced track in 5th grade led to two years of frustration and peer pressure. By the time Leo came to us, he had the skills, but zero confidence.

THE STRATEGY We coached Leo to stop "questioning" his own answers and start communicating his solutions with certainty.

THE RESULT Leo passed the placement test and earned his spot in the highest math track in the Irvington Schools. Today, he’s scoring well above the median and tackling complex problems head-on.

At KevsMill, we strive to create a lifelong joy and curiosity for learning. Alongside our core offerings in Academic Tutoring & Test Prep, we’ve always prioritized a growth mindset to prepare our students to thrive in today’s world and tomorrow’s challenges.

With that in mind, we’re announcing a NEW, “Next Level” program. “Next Level” is a dynamic, mentor-led experience focusing on practical, real life scenarios. (e.g., mock interviews, navigating social interactions, financial literacy)

-For students interested in sports, “Math in Motion” targets critical thinking, data literacy, and a new appreciation for the numbers behind the game.

-In “Practical Finance,” students learn to budget, save, and explore the basics of investing.

-In “Real World Scenarios,” we offer support in public speaking, mock interviews, and navigating social situations. (Students can receive personalized feedback from experienced mentors in various fields during 20 minute sessions.)
