Industry Insight of the Week:
AI Is Changing Project Management—And the Skills Leaders Need
Artificial intelligence is changing the way organizations approach everything from planning and analysis to communication and decision-making. Project management is no exception.
As AI becomes more integrated into the workplace, project professionals are increasingly expected to understand how to use emerging technology while still bringing something technology can't replace: judgment, leadership, communication, and the ability to navigate complex decisions.
The Project Management Institute recently updated the PMP® certification exam to reflect these changes, placing greater emphasis on areas such as AI, strategic thinking, sustainability, and delivering meaningful business value.
For current and aspiring project professionals, the message is clear: the future of project management isn't about choosing between technology and people. It's about learning how to use technology while strengthening the leadership and decision-making skills that keep projects moving forward.
