We are happy to announce that we will have a new logo for Spirit shirts this year!!! Starting Friday, August 7 we will be taking orders for new shirts via Givebacks. There will be a limited amount on hand during Meet the Teacher on August 7.

A message from our Principal, Mrs. Cook:

Dear Tarpon Springs Elementary School Families,

I hope you are doing well and enjoying a wonderful summer!

I am thrilled to welcome everyone back for another exciting school year at Tarpon Springs Elementary. As we prepare for a new year of learning and growth, I am delighted to share some outstanding news. Last week, we received notification from the Florida Department of Education that Tarpon Springs Elementary has earned an "A" school grade!

This incredible achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and teamwork of our entire school community. The hard work of our students, the unwavering commitment of our teachers and staff, and the tremendous support of our families all played an essential role in making this accomplishment possible.

School begins on Tuesday, August 11, and we are excited to welcome our students back for a wonderful year of learning! School hours are 8:45 a.m. to 2:55 p.m., and students may be dropped off beginning at 8:20 a.m. We are pleased to continue offering free breakfast and lunch to all students each school day.

To help make the first day of school a positive and welcoming experience, parents and guardians are invited to walk their child to their classroom on the first day of school only.

We also invite you to join us for our Teacher Meet & Greet on Friday, August 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to locate your child's classroom, meet their teacher, and help your child feel comfortable and excited for the start of the new school year.

We look forward to welcoming your family and partnering with you for a successful and rewarding school year!

Meet Mrs. Ballard!!

I am honored to join the Tarpon Springs Elementary family and excited to serve the community that has meant so much to my family over the years.
Although I wasn't born in Pinellas County, I have called it home since I was five years old. My husband and I had the opportunity to live in several different places while he served in the military, but we were grateful to return home. For the past 20 years, Tarpon Springs has been the community where we have raised our family and built lifelong friendships.
My career in education began in 2004, and for the past 10 years I have had the privilege of serving in educational leadership. I earned my Educational Leadership degree from St. Leo University, and throughout my career I have remained committed to building positive school cultures where students, families, and staff feel valued, supported, and connected.
I believe every child has unique gifts and the ability to succeed when surrounded by caring adults, high expectations, and meaningful relationships. The elementary years are a special time in a child's life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of helping students discover their strengths, develop confidence, and build a lifelong love of learning.
Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters and an even prouder grandmother to one beautiful little girl, who reminds me every day to see the world with curiosity, kindness, and wonder.
I look forward to getting to know our students, families, staff, and community partners. Together, I know we will continue to create a school where every child feels welcomed, challenged, supported, and inspired to do their very best. I am excited for the year ahead and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Tarpon Springs Elementary family.
