💚 What Is Compassionate Humane Education? 🌎🐾
At Solid Rock Community School, education is about more than what students know—it’s also about who they become.
Compassionate Humane Education (CHE) helps students understand that their choices matter and that they have the ability to make a positive difference for people, animals, and the planet.
Through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on experiences, service, discussion, and real-world problem solving, our students learn to:
🌱 Care for and protect our planet
🐾 Respect animals and understand their needs
🤝 Practice kindness, empathy, and inclusion
🌎 Understand how people, animals, and the environment are connected
💡 Think critically about real-world challenges
❤️ Turn compassion into meaningful action
At Solid Rock, CHE isn’t simply a class or a special activity. It is woven into the culture of our school and the way we approach education.
We want our students to leave us with strong academic skills—but also with the courage to stand up for others, the wisdom to think about the impact of their choices, and the confidence to know that they can make a difference.
Because education shouldn’t just prepare children for the world.
It should prepare them to make the world better. 💚
