CHE Daily – Building Strength From Within

At first glance,
it looks like a group of students getting active.
Following movements.
Practicing together.
Building physical strength.

But something deeper is happening here…

They’re learning focus.
Self-discipline.
Confidence.
Perseverance.
And the courage to keep trying even when something feels challenging.

Movement gives students an opportunity to discover what they’re capable of while learning to listen, follow direction, and grow alongside their peers. Every new skill practiced is another chance to build confidence from the inside out.

✨ Action Step:
Encourage a child to try something that challenges them today. Celebrate the effort, focus, and courage it takes to keep going, not just the outcome.

That’s CHE. 💛

💚 What Is Compassionate Humane Education? 🌎🐾

At Solid Rock Community School, education is about more than what students know—it’s also about who they become.

Compassionate Humane Education (CHE) helps students understand that their choices matter and that they have the ability to make a positive difference for people, animals, and the planet.

Through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on experiences, service, discussion, and real-world problem solving, our students learn to:

🌱 Care for and protect our planet
🐾 Respect animals and understand their needs
🤝 Practice kindness, empathy, and inclusion
🌎 Understand how people, animals, and the environment are connected
💡 Think critically about real-world challenges
❤️ Turn compassion into meaningful action

At Solid Rock, CHE isn’t simply a class or a special activity. It is woven into the culture of our school and the way we approach education.

We want our students to leave us with strong academic skills—but also with the courage to stand up for others, the wisdom to think about the impact of their choices, and the confidence to know that they can make a difference.

Because education shouldn’t just prepare children for the world.

It should prepare them to make the world better. 💚

CHE Daily – Growing Together in Nature

At first glance,
it looks like a fun day exploring outside.
A group of friends.
A little creativity.
A moment surrounded by nature.

But look a little deeper…

They’re learning to explore with curiosity.
To work together.
To appreciate the world around them.
And to turn simple discoveries into shared experiences.

Time in nature gives students space to wonder, create, connect, and see themselves as part of something bigger. And when those experiences are shared with friends, they become opportunities to practice cooperation, kindness, and respect for one another and for the environment.

✨ Action Step:
Step outside today and notice something you normally pass by. Ask a question, share a discovery, or simply take a moment to appreciate the living world around you.

That’s CHE. 💛

CHE Daily – Learning Through the Challenge

At first glance,
it looks like a tower building activity.
Paper.
Ideas.
A challenge to solve.

But look a little deeper…

They’re learning how to think together.
Communicate.
Problem-solve.
Listen to different ideas.
Adjust when something doesn’t work.
And keep trying when the answer isn’t obvious.

Activities like this remind students that learning isn’t always about getting it right the first time. Sometimes, the most meaningful growth happens through experimenting, adapting, and discovering what works together.

✨ Action Step:
When a challenge comes your way today, stay curious. Listen to the ideas around you, try something new, and remember that every attempt teaches you something.

That’s CHE. 💛

CHE Daily – Focusing on Success

At first glance,
it looks like a typical day in the classroom.
A teacher leading.
Students listening.
Pencils moving across the page.

But look a little deeper…

They’re practicing focus.
Responsibility.
Perseverance.
They’re learning how to listen with intention, put forth their best effort, and take ownership of their learning.

Because success isn’t about getting everything right the first time.
It’s built through the small choices we make each day to stay engaged, keep trying, ask questions, and grow from every experience.

And when students learn that their effort matters, they begin building confidence that reaches far beyond the classroom.

✨ Action Step:
Encourage a student today to recognize their effort, not just the outcome. Remind them that every focused moment and every attempt is another step toward growth.

That’s CHE. 💛
