Meet our final Kindermusik educator, Carrie Harris. For fourteen years, Carrie has been bringing the joy and magic of music to families as a dedicated Kindermusik educator. With a genuine passion for music and teaching, she creates playful, meaningful experiences where children can learn, grow, and build lasting connections with their families. Before finding her home in KCB Studios, Carrie taught elementary general music in the Penn Hills and McKeesport school districts.

Carrie earned her Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Music Education from Clarion University. Music has always been an important part of her life, and she enjoys playing both piano and flute, performing at her church and throughout the community whenever the opportunity arises.

Carrie and her husband, Bob, are the proud parents of two daughters, Katie (16) and Annabelle (12). Both girls grew up surrounded by music and Kindermusik, beginning their own musical journeys when they were just five months old. Today, Carrie brings that same love of music and family connection to every class she teaches. Whether she’s creating joyful moments in a toddler class or helping young musicians discover their confidence in group piano, Miss Carrie brings warmth, enthusiasm, and encouragement to every lesson.

What she loves most is watching children discover what they can do, find their unique voices, and grow in confidence and creativity—all while making wonderful musical memories with the people they love.

One day, you’ll miss this version of them. ❤️
The baby who reaches for you when the music begins.
The little body bouncing to the beat.
The unexpected giggle during a song.
The way they look at you like you are their whole world.
Kindermusik is a place to slow down and soak it all in.
And while you’re making memories, your baby is developing the skills that prepare them for future learning—language, literacy, coordination, listening, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth.
They’re growing. You’re connecting. And these moments are fleeting. 🎶

Allison Clepper is our next team member. Miss Allie is in her fifth year teaching at KCB and is a beloved Kindermusik educator and Musical Theater coach. Allie has been passionate about music and performance for as long as she can remember. Inspired by her musically gifted mother and grandfather, Allison grew up in a home where singing was a way of life—and she’s been singing ever since!

Allie earned her degree in German Language and Literature with a minor in History from Allegheny College, where she also received classical voice training and performed in choir throughout her time there. She has studied abroad and traveled internationally, including an outreach trip to Ethiopia with Miss Christa in 2024.

When she’s not singing or teaching, you’ll likely find Allison reading, exploring her family’s roots through genealogy, or belting out karaoke with friends. She and her husband, Josh, are the proud parents of four wonderfully musical kids, elementary and middle school aged—Joelie, Declan, Verity and Evie (along with an exchange student from Germany this year, Elisa!) Allie truly believes in the power of music to bring joy, build connection, and support growth at every age. She’s excited to share that joy with you and your family—see you in class. She teaches almost every day in Tarentum, Cheswick/Harmar, and Kittanning. Grab a spot while they last, and give a like or comment how you know Miss Allie!

A fabulous piano teacher and performer, meet Katie Lyons. Miss Katie is a graduate of Westminster College PA, where she earned her B.M. in Music Education and Piano Performance. Katie has performed across Pennsylvania and made numerous appearances both as a collaborative pianist and as a soloist. She performs as an accompanist for multiple high school choirs and musicals. Currently she works as a pianist with both the Pittsburgh Girls Choir and with Pittsburgh Musical Theater.

Katie has extensive experience teaching and coaching piano, violin, and voice. She has been teaching private lessons for the past 4 years and has field experience in general music, band, and orchestra classrooms. In her lessons, Katie focuses on combining a strong foundation in technique and reading skills with creativity and a passion for music in her students.

Continuing to meet the team, here is Lucianne Evans. Lucianne joined our lesson team this spring, and has been shaping young voices ever since. Lucianne is a vocalist and music educator with a lifelong objective to know how the music works. Born and raised in the Alle-Kiski area, she was straightening out her family’s melodies before the age of three, telling her grandfather “like this!” as he sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” She was raised by a mother who was a Broadway enthusiast, and a father (a surgeon) who knew he wanted to be a doctor and help people since he was a small child. Lucianne grew up attending live musicals and absorbing the excitement of the stage. She was equally captivated by the dance sounds of the disco era, influences that later filtered naturally into her work performing in jazz and commercial bands.

With decades of professional experience, including recognition for her CD Flamingo, which earned a place on the International Association of Jazz Educator's Blue Chip List of Top Vocals of 2002, Lucianne brings expressive interpretation, rhythm, poetry, and refined pitch control to her work. She is passionate about helping students discover confidence, musical awareness, and joy through singing.

Lucianne will soon become a grandmother, a role she eagerly anticipates. She enjoys swimming, walking her two small dogs (one black and one gold—very Pittsburgh), and knitting. Lucianne has just a few voice lessons spaces left on Mondays and Tuesdays in Tarentum. Beginners, children, adults, we have a spot for you!

Meet another of our fabulous Kindermusik educators, Sarah Pattock. Miss Sarah is in her second year teaching at KCB, and has a beloved following of Kindermusik families. She holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn State University and spent three years teaching third grade in Georgia, where she cultivated a passion for helping young learners grow through hands-on, joyful experiences.

These days, Sarah spends her time at home with her two little ones—Ruth (3.5) and Atticus (2)—who keep her busy singing, dancing, reading stories, and exploring the outdoors every chance they get. As a mom, she treasures the everyday moments of connection that music brings to her family life. In addition to her role as a Kindermusik educator, Sarah teaches preschool at Bethel in Lower Burrell.

Sarah and her husband have been Kindermusik parents since Ruth was just a baby, and the program has quickly become a beloved part of their family routine. “Watching Ruth light up during music class has been such a gift for us,” Sarah shares. “Kindermusik has given us so many beautiful memories already, and I’m thrilled to be part of creating those magical moments for other families too.”

Give a like or love if you know Miss Sarah, and grab a spot in her classes on Monday evening in Murrysville, or Wednesday morning or evening in Tarentum.

Our lesson programs are thriving, and our newest lesson teacher is Garrett Nonweiler. Garrett has enjoyed engaging with music since childhood. He began with piano and percussion at the age of 8. He soon added bass and guitar in middle school. His studies ultimately focused on string bass and still enjoys learning new instruments whenever possible.

Garrett plays bass, guitar, ukulele, piano, percussion and sings. He earned his B.M. on string bass at the University of Minnesota, Mankato, and followed up with graduate studies in jazz at the University of Missouri, Kansas City Conservatory. He enjoys a wide variety of musical styles ranging from classical, to jazz, salsa, pop, rock, folk, and more. Original music and recording production have also been central to his experience as a musician. He is currently working as a string bass repair apprentice in Pittsburgh with Wallace Bass Shop. In addition to music he also enjoys cooking at barbecue competitions and has earned several awards. Garrett is excited to be a part of the growing community of musicians here in Pittsburgh.

Garrett is teaching bass, guitar, ukulele, percussion, voice and piano at our Tarentum location. Both children and adult learners are welcome!
