Edgecombe Community College - Small Business Center We offer free resources such as:
confidential counseling, webinars & workshops Our services are available for free or very low cost.

Our goal is to develop long-term strategic partnerships with business and industry leaders and assist in small business start-ups and expansions in Edgecombe County. As a member of the NC Community College System Small Business Center Network (SBCN), our services are designed to support the development and growth of small businesses. The Small Business Center at Edgecombe Community College can help guide you through the steps of considering, planning, developing, opening and operating a small business. Representatives of Edgecombe Community College use this site for official communication purposes. Consequently, any communication via this site (whether by an ECC representative or by the general public) may be subject to monitoring, archiving, and disclosure to third parties in accordance with North Carolina Public Records Law.

Introduction to Federal Contracting Webinar
The North Carolina Military Business Center will host “Introduction to Federal Contracting” virtually on November 18, 2026 from 0900 -1030.

About: This training is an introduction to doing business with the federal government. Topics trained include: levels of federal purchasing; how the federal government buys products, construction and engineering and non-personal services; marketing a business to the federal government; socio-economic small business programs; registering as a federal contractor; locating, identifying and responding to federal business opportunities; and resources available to assist federal contractors in North Carolina.

Registration: This is a free webinar; however, pre-registration is required in order to receive the virtual platform credentials. Credentials will be emailed out a few days prior to the training.
