It is our distinct privilege to celebrate Maggy Lewis Gregory ’01 and her fellow inductees of the inaugural CBGS Alumni Hall of Fame class on Saturday, November 14, from 5–9 p.m. at Linden Manor, near Tappahannock.

Since her time at CBGS, Maggy has climbed the legal career ladder, landing on principal and managing partner of Gregory Legal Group, PLC. In addition to her work in complex trust and estate planning, she has served in a variety of leadership roles on community boards, delivered the keynote address for 11 years strong to the Virginia Department of Forestry, and operated a family farm of her own!

Glenns senior, Lexi Spangler, was one of six students selected to participate in VIMS’ esteemed Jefferson Lab, a Governor’s School Summer Research Program for gifted students with an interest in marine science. Working alongside professional researchers and graduate students at Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Lexi engaged in research, developed valuable scientific skills, and presented findings at the conclusion of the program. Help us celebrate Philip Taliaferro ’00 as an incredibly deserving honoree at the inaugural CBGS Alumni Hall of Fame Celebration on Saturday, November 14, from 5–9 p.m. at Linden Manor, just north of Tappahannock.

From his environmental research in the Dragon Run at CBGS to his career and leadership in financial technology, Philip has maintained a focus on science, technology, business, and service. His academic and professional accomplishments, along with his continued engagement with educational and nonprofit organizations, represent the broad range of experiences and interests fostered by Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School.

From building and launching stomp rockets to designing eggs that float on air and playing with Legos (of course) AND microscopes, our students have been busy these first few days of the school year across all three campuses.
