Ask a student about "the slope lesson from October." You'll get a blank stare. Ask them to recall the lesson title... and the math comes flooding back.

At Barret Traditional Middle School in Louisville, KY, students instantly recalled math concepts from lessons taught months earlier, all triggered by the lesson title alone.

That's Core Curriculum by MidSchoolMath.

While MidSchoolMath team members were seeing our curriculum in action on the west coast, other team members were on the east coast celebrating the incredible work of the three students who brought this math to life through meaningful, real-world content one year ago.

A special thank you to Aldaine Wynter and the Washington International School for partnering with us on the development of this math film series!

Still reflecting on the powerful moments our keynote speakers - Daniella Avanzi, Jeff Zwiers, and Pamela Seda - created at the 2026 MidSchoolMath National Conference ✨

Congratulations to the NCTM educators who received African penguins, featured in our new international math task series, as a reminder to bring this strategy back to their classrooms! 🐧

Every year, MidSchoolMath kicks off its annual conference in its signature style—with an immersive math experience.

This year, F1 Academy transported teachers to São Paulo, Brazil—not to calculate the optimal curve of a racetrack in a live simulation, but to step into the shoes of English Language Learners. With Coach Daniella Avanzi leading in Portuguese and MidSchoolMath’s own F1 champion, Kevin Simpson, navigating the challenge, participants experienced firsthand what it feels like to learn math in a new language.
