Our athletes come from different backgrounds, play different sports, and go to different schools.

But when they walk in the doors at HYTE, they're teammates. They build each other up and they make each other better.

This anaerobic exercise 🔥

The term "anaerobic" translates to "without oxygen". When we put our body through an anaerobic exercise, or a HIIT-style exercise requiring high amounts of energy in a short period of time, it's forced to use energy sources outside of oxygen to complete the work.

Anaerobic exercises (when implemented strategically) help athletes:

✅ Increase bone strength

✅ Improve metabolism

✅ Boost muscular endurance

✅ Create power

There are so many misconceptions about training kids young. LETS TALK FACTS:

✅ Proper form and instilling correct muscular development is a KEY player in building strong athletes

✅ Helps correct muscular imbalances from over use in perspective sports

✅ Promotes proper muscular function

✅ Prevents injuries that come with age and rapid growth in young athletes

✅ Develops the deep core muscles at an early age in compound movements

✅ Sets young athletes up to excel in whatever sport they pursue

ATTN: Pitchers ⚾

It's important to know the movements you should avoid in specific athletic positions based on muscular development and movement. Baseball pitching requires fast and powerful movement that isn't natural to the structure and purpose of the shoulder. Avoid these exercises to keep your shoulder healthy and improve mobility.

🚫 Barbell Back Squat: a pitcher's shoulder already endures enough stress why add to it?

🚫 Upright Row: this movement is not beneficial for any athlete. This places the shoulders in a position the negates their natural range of motion.

🚫 Hang Clean: most olympic movements place a lot of stress on the upper body. The linear nature of a Hang Clean and stress on the elbow make it a detrimental movement for a pitcher.

🚫Barbell Bench Press: the barbell bench press doesn't allow the athlete to move naturally through their movement pattern and locks them into internal rotation. The extra muscle mass within a pitcher's chest cavity would limit range of motion and ability to throw.
