Having already gained valuable industry experience on HBO’s "Euphoria," Kristopher is poised to continue making his mark in the entertainment world. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing his career unfold!

Kristopher Byrd is the surviving Son of Technical Sergeant William Byrd, who lost his life in 2016, while serving with the 27th Special Operations Support Squadron. Today, we honor his father’s legacy and celebrate Kristopher’s achievements. 🌟

🎓 Please join us in celebrating SOWF graduate, John Adams!

John recently graduated from Columbus Technical College, where he completed his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and recently passed the state exam. We're so proud to celebrate his accomplishments!

John is the surviving son of Master Sergeant Danial Adams, who lost his life in 2011 while serving with the 10th Special Forces Group. Today, we honor his father’s legacy and celebrate John’s achievements. 🌟

🎓 Please join us in celebrating SOWF graduate, Sarah Scherkenbach!

Sarah recently graduated from The George Washington University with a double major in English and Political Science. We're so proud to celebrate her accomplishments!

Sarah is the daughter of Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Chris Scherkenbach who lost his life in 2005 while serving with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Today, we honor her father’s legacy and celebrate Sarah’s achievements. 🌟

🎓 Please join us in celebrating SOWF graduate, Kalun Alvarez!

Kalun recently graduated magna cm laude from the Baptist University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. We're so proud to celebrate her accomplishments!

Kalun is the stepdaughter to Technical Sergeant (TSgt) Marty Bettelyoun who lost his life in 2015 while serving with 720th Special Tactics Group. Today, we honor her stepfather’s legacy and celebrate Kalun’s achievements. 🌟

Ethan recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. Following graduation, he will pursue a graduate degree in Industrial Engineering at Arizona State University. We can't wait to see what he will accomplish next!

Ethan is the surviving son of Army Captain Shane Mahaffee who lost his life in 2006 while serving with the 489th Civil Affairs Battalion. Today, we honor his father’s legacy and celebrate Ethan’s achievements. 🌟

Gabrian recently graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology. We are incredibly proud of Gabrian's hard work and determination!

Gabrian is the surviving son of Staff Sergeant Gary Harper, who lost his life in 2005 while serving with the 5th Special Forces Group. Today, we honor his father’s legacy and celebrate Gabrian’s achievements. 🌟

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.

At Special Operations Warrior Foundation, we remain committed to preserving their legacy by providing educational funding and advocacy to the children of fallen or widowed Special Operations Personnel and Medal of Honor Recipients.

Pictured is 2026 SOWF graduate Cheyenne Thomas, who earned her degree in Psychology and Classics from Hofstra University. Cheyenne is the daughter of Army Warrant Officer 1 Shawn Thomas, who lost his life in 2017 while serving with the 3rd Special Forces Group. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can't wait to see what she achieves next.

Gloria recently graduated Cum Laude from Hampton University with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology. This fall, she will continue her education at The George Washington University as she pursues her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology.

We are so excited to celebrate Gloria’s hard work and dedication, and we look forward to seeing all she will accomplish.

Gloria is the surviving daughter of Chief Petty Officer Jairo Guity, who lost his life in 2026 while supporting SEAL Team 8. Today, we honor his legacy and celebrate Gloria’s achievements. 🌟
