UTampa's Global Sustainability class spent two weeks exploring Iceland's south coast, comparing its sustainability practices with those in the United States by visiting a water and waste management plant and a regenerative farm.

Still celebrating Spartan baseball's three-peat!
The Spartans made history by becoming the first NCAA Division II baseball program to win three consecutive national championships, defeating West Chester University 8-4 to claim the 2026 title. The championship is the program's 11th national title overall.

The University of Tampa recently welcomed its third Spartan Alliance cohort, recognizing 20 incoming students who earned four-year scholarships and room and board through the program.
“These students demonstrate strong academic records, a commitment to community service and a respect for supporting others on their educational journeys,” said Dr. Thomas Witherspoon, vice president of access and community programs.

Jacqueline Sibila ’27 traveled to Ecuador this summer through the University of Tampa Honors Program’s Timothy M. Smith Inspiration through Exploration grant, gaining firsthand experience in marine conservation while strengthening her research and global perspective.
From swimming alongside hammerhead sharks to visiting the Charles Darwin Research Station, Sibila’s journey reflects how UTampa empowers students to pursue meaningful research, experiential learning and career-defining opportunities around the world.

ICYMI: UTampa men’s lacrosse claimed the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championship with a thrilling 12-11 overtime win over defending champion Adelphi. After trailing by four goals in the first quarter, the Spartans completed an incredible comeback to bring home the program’s second national title.
