Around the World in 5 Days!
What an amazing week of exploration during our second Summer Enrichment Program! Our students enjoyed learning about different continents, cultures, animals, landmarks, and traditions from around the world.

A special thank you to our wonderful parents for always helping make Fun Friday extra special by dressing the children with creativity and excitement. To our amazing teachers, thank you for your enthusiasm, dedication, and for bringing learning to life each day!

What a wonderful first week of our Summer Enrichment Program – Spanish Immersion at MAST!

This week, our children explored the amazing world of oceans, marine life, and ecosystem care through hands-on activities, music, movement, and meaningful discoveries. We wrapped up the week with a fun Water Day, full of smiles, laughter, and summer joy!

Thank you to our wonderful families for your participation and support, especially for sending your children dressed and ready to enjoy all the fun. We are so excited for the weeks ahead!

Celebrating our Mother’s Day Tea at Montessori Academy of South Tampa, a cherished tradition offered by our kindergarten class.

We are deeply grateful to all the mothers for attending and making this celebration so meaningful with your presence and love.

A special thank you to our teachers for the thoughtful details in creating such a warm environment, with decorations made by the children and meaningful collections gathered throughout the years.

This tradition reflects the children’s work in Practical Life and Grace and Courtesy, where they learn to care for their environment, serve others, and express kindness and respect.

What a special week at our Montessori school!

During Teacher Appreciation Week, our teachers felt incredibly loved and appreciated by all the thoughtful flowers, gifts, meals, treats, kind words and much more from our families. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity and support.

This week was also extra meaningful as we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of our school on May 2nd. We are deeply grateful to our wonderful community and to every family who has been part of this journey with us.

In a Montessori environment, concentration is not taught, it is discovered.
When a young child becomes deeply engaged in an activity, something powerful is happening within. The mind is organizing, the hands are learning, and independence is growing.
This is the work of the child and for them, the work feels like play.
These moments of focus are precious. When uninterrupted, concentration strengthens, and the child builds confidence, patience, and inner discipline.
Even the smallest interruption can break this process. What may look simple from the outside is meaningful work for the child.

Our role is to observe, respect, and protect these moments.
Because through concentration, the child is truly becoming themselves.

In Montessori, geography begins at an early age with a simple and beautiful discovery: the Earth, and the difference between land and water.

Through hands-on exploration, children develop a love and understanding of these concepts. They paint continents, trace their shapes, and work with puzzle maps, building knowledge through concrete experiences.

Geography is woven throughout the classroom. In Sensorial, children explore puzzle maps; in Language, they use cards to connect animals and cultures to each continent; and through art, they bring the world to life with color and creativity.

Through these meaningful activities, the child begins to understand their place on our planet—one discovery at a time.

Our Annual Egg Hunt at MAST was a great celebration filled with excitement, laughter, and special moments together.
