At Montessori Academies we, very strongly, believe that intelligence is not fixed at birth, nor is the human potential anywhere limited as it sometimes seems in traditional education. Rooms 1 & 2 will be OPEN with regular school hours.
Room 3, Pre-K/Kindergarten, and Elementary will be CLOSED.

đź“… Friday, October 16th
The entire school will be CLOSED for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

One of the beautiful things about Montessori education is recognizing that children don’t all learn the same thing at the same time or in the same way.

Within the prepared classroom environment, children have opportunities to work with materials that meet them at their current stage of development while teachers carefully observe and guide them toward what comes next.

This allows children to be appropriately challenged without being rushed—building a strong foundation and encouraging a genuine love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.

📸🍂 Fall Picture Days are coming!

Get those smiles ready! Fall Picture Days will take place September 29th – October 1st. Students are welcome to dress up for their photos, as uniforms are not required on their scheduled picture day. 👟 Please remember that closed-toe shoes are still required.

Tuesday: Rooms 1 and 2
Wednesday: Pre-K and Kindergarten
Thursday: Elementary and Siblings

One of the easiest ways to continue Montessori at home doesn’t require any special materials—simply invite your child to participate in everyday family life.

Setting the table, matching socks, watering plants, putting groceries away, feeding a pet, packing part of their lunch, or helping prepare dinner can all become meaningful learning experiences.

Choose responsibilities appropriate for your child’s abilities and allow plenty of time for them to do the task themselves. It may not be as quick or perfect as when an adult does it, but that’s part of the learning!

Pouring, spooning, transferring, sorting and other Practical Life activities may look simple, but there is so much learning happening behind the scenes.

These carefully designed activities help children strengthen coordination, concentration, fine motor skills, and independence while practicing tasks they encounter in everyday life.

And perhaps most importantly, they give children the opportunity to experience that wonderful feeling of “I can do it myself!”
