🚨 BREAKING NEWS: National Library Week exposes the push to keep sexually explicit content accessible to children.

The American Library Association is opposing legislation designed to protect children from pornographic materials in schools and libraries.

The Stop the Sexualization of Children Act would stop federal funds from being used to provide these materials to minors.

As USPIE Founder Sheri Few warns: "The ALA functions less like a professional association and more like an activist hub advancing a highly ideological agenda.”

This is an argument I have heard SO MANY TIMES to defend someone's inaction against inappropriate books in schools. It's a weak way to dismiss oneself from taking any responsibility.In Hillsborough County, board member Lynn Gray used these exact words to excuse herself from removing Identical, an explicit book including graphic, inc€ $tuous r@pe. This happened AFTER she sent me an email asking me to stop reading from school library books during school board meetings, due to how much damage I had done to listeners- both adults and children…From reading books found in school libraries. You heard that right.

Parents, just because you've historically trusted an author (Judy Blume, for one), doesn't mean that every book they've written is appropriate for children. See example with Melissa De La Cruz, who has written children's books and then...THIS. Thankfully, this book is NOT (yet) in Hillsborough County Schools, but keep your eyes open.
