Our students, which number about 250 at both the undergraduate and graduate level, enjoy dedicated, personal guidance from our faculty. Our student body is diverse, our research spans experimental and theoretical studies of many fundamental areas of electrical engineering, and we enjoy strong partnerships throughout industry and with prominent national laboratories and federal agencies. Research e
xperiences are integral to the education of not only our graduate students, but also for undergraduates through our Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and similar activities. As a student, you may find yourself working with engineers in other academic departments, marine scientists, medical doctors, chemists, biologists or physicists. Together with our dedicated faculty and excellent facilities, these exciting opportunities have helped us to attract top students to our department and prepare them for enriching careers.
