Success doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s built through perseverance, grit, and determination. It’s showing up even when your mind is tired, your body is exhausted, and your spirit feels stretched thin. It’s choosing to keep going anyway.
That’s what makes these students so inspiring. Our adult learners are balancing work, family, responsibilities, and life’s challenges while still making education a priority. Day after day, they show up, push forward, and refuse to give up on their goals.
Today, we celebrate these shining stars — our Student of the Semester recipients! Your hard work, resilience, and commitment do not go unnoticed. You are proof that success is earned through courage, consistency, and heart.

Our ESOL students took learning into their own hands as they prepared for their final exam through collaboration, communication, and peer teaching!
Students worked in groups to review important grammar concepts, including comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs. Each group became “experts” on a topic and re-taught the material to their classmates during an interactive gallery walk activity.
As students rotated through stations, they participated in one-on-one discussions, asked questions, clarified misconceptions, and strengthened their understanding of key language concepts. Then, students switched roles so every learner had the opportunity to be both the teacher and the learner — building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and language skills.
To wrap up the lesson, students tested their knowledge with Kahoot games they created themselves!
This engaging activity supported ESOL standards by promoting:
• Academic language development
• Collaborative conversations
• Presentation and speaking skills
• Peer-to-peer interaction
• Critical thinking and self-assessment
Learning is even more powerful when students lead the way! 🌟
