Good morning! It's that time of year to get next year's PTA board planned! At this time we need a minimum of 3 Board Members, PTA President, Treasurer, and Recording Secretary! Without these 3 board members, PTA cannot exist. Unfortunately at this time, we need to fill all 3 positions! If you are willing and able to volunteer for any of these positions, please comment below or email us at [email protected]. Below is a brief description of the 3 positions we are seeking currently! We have other board positions available along with volunteer opportunities we need to fill. If you can assist in any way, please let us know! Flyers will be going home this week with more details!

□ President (Required to have a PTA): Presides at all PTA meetings, oversees and supports all PTA committees, prepares and maintains the PTA calendar and communicates with administration staff, student body, parents and community. The president also appoints special committees, the temporary chairman of the nominating committee duties whenever the need arises, co-signs all checks with the VP or Treasurer, and works closely with the executive officers to ensure the continuity of PTA.
□ Treasurer (Required to have a PTA): Maintains a full, accurate and timely account of all PTA receipts and expenditures and prepares all tax records of the organization. Co-signs all checks with the President or Vice President.
□ Recording Secretary (Required to have a PTA): Records minutes of all PTA meetings of the Association including Executive Board and General Membership meetings. Reaches out to volunteers to secure needed help for upcoming events.

Starting next month, Madison PTA will be selling snacks and drinks after school on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month until the end of the year! We will be located near the front office! Items sell anywhere from 0.25 cents up to $1.00 each. If you’d like to help us as a volunteer on any of the days shown in the images below, please comment below or email us at [email protected]. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED-PARENTS & STUDENTS

Does your student need community service hours? PTA can help! We need either parents/students to assist us with concessions (selling snacks) during the last 2 home basketball games. They would be working with a PTA board member! Dates needed are as follows:

9/27 from 530pm-730pm 2 volunteers needed
10/2 from 530pm-730pm 2 volunteers needed

Parents-we are looking for 2 volunteers to assist with Picture Day as well (half or whole day) filling out forms for students who did not submit on 10/17.

I hope everyone stayed safe during Hurricane Irma. I hope there isn't too much damage in the library. With that being said, I have no idea what is happening with book fair right now - I need to talk to my Scholastic Rep. I'm trying to get it rescheduled to be delivered this week and run next week. If that doesn't work, I may be postponing it until November. Once I have more information, I will create a new Doodle sign-up volunteer poll to reflect the new dates. /Hi all. I hope everyone is staying safe. Because of Hurricane Irma, the book fair dates have been slightly shifted. As of right now, it will get deliverd on Tuesday, 09/12, ehich will mean sales will start on 09/13. The last day will now be on 09/19. I have updated the Doodle poll. If you had volunteered to help on Monday, obviously you don't need to show up. If you volunteered for Tuesday, and want to come in, I could use help setting up.
