Welcome to the April 2025 Young Middle Magnet PTSA Newsletter!!!! Only seven more weeks left of this school year!!! WOOWWWW………………TIME FLIES!!!!!

Here are a few things that your Young Middle Magnet PTSA accomplished in March/April!!

● Your PTSA is still selling concessions, snacks, and frozen cups on Fridays!!! Frozen cups and snacks are $2.00!!! Please come out and support!!! We have various flavors!!!!

● Your PTSA sold chocolate bars from the World’s Finest Chocolates!!! It was a huge success, and we were able to raise money to put back into our beautiful school!! Thank you to everyone who participated! We appreciate your efforts!

● Teacher appreciation week for Young Middle Magnet teachers and staff will start on May 1st and PTSA will donate to ensure a grand, fun, and successful week for all!!!!

● The fundraiser event at Five Below was a huge success as well! Thanks to all who took the time to go and shop to support Young Middle Magnet.

● We will have our last general meeting of the year on April 23, 2025 at 4 pm in the Media Center! This is our Parent Teacher Conference night as well, so we hope to see you all so that you can learn more about YOUR PTSA!!!!!

Greetings Young Middle Magnet Families!!!!

Welcome to the March 2025 Young Middle Magnet PTSA Newsletter and welcome back from spring break!!!!

Here are a few things that your Young Middle Magnet PTSA accomplished in February!

● Not only do we sell snacks, concessions, and frozen cups on Fridays at dismissal, but Ms. Miller has been instrumental and successful in selling concessions after school on a daily basis, and now, even at the bus ramp!

● The PTSA was able to sell concessions as well as talk to and onboard new families at Parent Teacher Conference Night! That was a great success!

● Because your PTSA has been successful in selling concessions and snacks, WE WERE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE SNACKS TOWARDS THE ALL PRO DAD MEETING LAST WEEK!!! YAYYYYY!!!!! We were able to donate muffins and orange juice towards dads/father figures who were able to come out and spend a few minutes with their student(s) before school!

● Furthermore, we were able to donate snacks, muffins, and orange juice to our teachers, as a small token of appreciation to them!

● PTSA will be selling chocolates from the World’s Finest Chocolate’s starting March 28th!!! We will plan to sell for a month and we look forward to a great turn out!!!

● We will have another fundraising opportunity in April! It will be for Five Below! Handouts will be given to students to take home as they’ll have the opportunity to go into the Five Below store in Brandon and shop, and 10% of the proceeds will go back to Young Middle Magnet!!!!

YOUNG MIDDLE MAGNET PTSA

Greetings Young Middle Magnet Families!!!!

Welcome to the NEW Young Middle Magnet PTSA Newsletter!!!! This newsletter will be provided on a monthly basis, and it will provide you and your family with all of the happenings of the Young Middle Magnet PTSA!!!

● The PTSA has implemented the sale of frozen cups on FROZEN CUP FRIDAYS!!!! These cups are sold for $2.00, along with other snacks (chips, candies, etc.) to students as they are departing school. This has allowed the PTSA to raise money to support our school! We will continue with the sale of the frozen cups and snacks on every Friday after school! We’d love for you to come out and assist us with this from 3:15 pm to 3:40 pm! This is an excellent way to connect with your school, assist with raising money, and be apart of your PTSA.

● The PTSA has sold concessions at all home games, and that has been successful as well! If you’re ever at a Young home game, please be sure to stop by the PTSA table to purchase concessions for a $2.00 fee! This will help with raising money to support our school, teachers, and students! Every little bit counts!

● The PTSA has also assisted in operating the Buffalo Store! What a great success that has been! You’re able to help, but enjoy the students as they shop using their hard earned Buffalo Bucks!

If you’re able to assist with that, please let us know! That is every Friday from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm (with the exception of first Fridays, as that is ‘club day’).

● The PTSA has onboarded Ms. Katrina Miller as our new Treasurer! With the departure of Mr. Shapiro, our old Treasurer, Ms. Miller has been a great asset! She has stepped in to assist with the making and selling of the frozen cups, she’s implementing new ideas that can be used to engage our students (JR. PTSA members), and she’s assisting with the design of PTSA shirts for families for this year as well as next year! HOW EXCITING!!!

● LASTLY, let’s talk about the PTSA shirts for a moment, as they were advertised at the beginning of the year, however, unfortunately, we did not have enough sales to order the shirts. We are optimistic, that this will not be the case going forward! We are working to solidify the designs for this year and next, but we need your help when it’s time to order!!!! We hope that you, your student(s), and family members will support this endeavor.

The PTSA has 21 members! We’d love to have you, your student, or family members as members as well so that we can support our school, teachers, and students, and LEVEL UP TOGETHER!
