From the Bahamas to galleries and exhibitions around the world, Kendra Frorup ’92 has built a remarkable career as a sculptor, educator, and scholar.

A University of Tampa alumna and associate professor of art and design, Frorup’s work explores memory, healing, identity, and the meaning of home through sculpture, printmaking, and collected materials. Most recently, her work as a 2024–2025 Fulbright U.S. Scholar inspired new exhibitions rooted in her Bahamian heritage and personal journey.

Read more about Kendra’s inspiring story, artistic practice, and impact as an educator in the Spring 2026 edition of the UTampa Journal at the link below.

Ahead of their chapter reunion this past weekend, alumni from Phi Delta Theta returned to campus to reconnect with fellow brothers, revisit familiar places, and see how much the University has changed since their student days.

From exploring campus and flipping through yearbooks to sharing stories from their time at UTampa, the visit was a reminder that some of the most meaningful connections begin right here on campus. Years after graduation, those friendships continue to bring Spartans together and strengthen the alumni community.

We always enjoy seeing alumni return to campus and celebrating the relationships that make the Spartan network so special.

There’s nothing quite like coming back home to UTampa.❤️

Ahead of their chapter reunion this past weekend, alumni from Phi Delta Theta returned to campus to reconnect with fellow brothers, revisit familiar places, and see how much the University has changed since their student days. From exploring campus and flipping through yearbooks to sharing stories and memories from their time as Spartans, the visit was a wonderful reminder of the lifelong friendships formed at UTampa.

We always enjoy seeing our Greek Life alumni return to campus and celebrate the connections that continue long after graduation. Thank you for visiting, Phi Delta Theta alumni, and for keeping the Spartan spirit strong. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan!

The best career advice often comes from those who have recently walked the path. Christopher Pico ’24, a Digital & Social Content Designer for the NBA, recently returned to campus to speak with students in COM 383. Christopher shared insights from his post-graduation journey, offered advice for aspiring advertising and public relations professionals, and gave students a firsthand look at what it takes to build a career in the sports and media industry.

One of the greatest strengths of the Spartan network is alumni who give back by sharing their experiences, opening doors, and helping guide the next generation of professionals. Thank you, Christopher, for returning to UTampa and inspiring current Spartans as they take their next steps toward their own careers.
