Send us a message or an email to [email protected] today! Florida Bible College began in the early 1960s, birthed by the need to train leaders for Christian work from among the many hundreds that were being reached with the gospel in the greater Miami area by the Christian Youth Ranch. Under the leadership of Dr. A. Ray Stanford, and Dr.Mark Cambron, the school doubled its fall enrollmen

t every year, until it moved from Coconut Grove to Hollywood, Florida, in 1970-71. There the class that enrolled in the fall of 1972 was over 1200 Freshmen. These eager young students were not only learning God's Word, but were themselves leading in ministries up and down the coast of Florida, from Palm Beach to the Keys, ministries that included churches, youth ranches, Bible clubs, jail ministries, and others. That school continued under other leadership, there and in Kissimmee, Florida, and again in Miramar - but ceased operation in the 1980s. In 2012 the Lord laid on "Yankee" Arnold, newly made pastor of Calvary Community Church of Tampa, Florida (the church built by the late Dr. Hank Lindstrom), to build again a Florida Bible College. The church was strong in support of the idea - church elders became college trustees, and other trustees were added as well, men who shared Dr. Arnold's vision and principles. Incorporated in August 2012, and with the planning and promoting work of Dean Peter Amato and Registrar Bob Gilbert, the new FBC of Tampa began offering some online classes in January of 2013. The degree program day-calsses began in the "Fall" (August ) of 2013, with five students completing that first semester. FBC continues the work of re-lighting the torch of the Christian Youth Ranch, KJV Bible teaching, the clarity of the gospel, the imperative of personal soul-winning, using the wallet illustration ("hand-gesture") and the "Am I Going to Heaven?" tract.

An Exciting Update on FBCT!

Over the past few weeks, the reach of FBCT and the dedication of our student body continue to expand both locally and internationally.

Here are the key milestones from our recent operations:

International interest continues to grow with new student inquiries arriving from the Netherlands and South Africa. Additionally, a prospective student from Vietnam has now officially enrolled as a full-time student. Domestically, we welcomed a new full-time student from Michigan who has already begun coursework.

Following a recent featured video on BibleLine Ministries YouTube channel, the college experienced a significant surge in interest, receiving twelve new inquiries and three formal applications within a forty-eight hour window.

Two of our current students volunteered to assist with preparing previously recorded classes for the online program. Their efforts have yielded 8 fully edited classes, representing 15 semester hours, which are now ready to be uploaded alongside their corresponding notes and quizzes. Given the success of this collaboration, these students will likely begin editing the next phase of development, which includes an additional ten classes representing 21 semester hours already recorded and awaiting preparation.

We are grateful for the momentum, the hard work of our students, and the continued growth of our academic programs.

I find it incredibly encouraging to see the progress of FBCT after making a transition to online only education. I am looking forward to the next few months as we widen the college's reach and influence for Jesus Christ.

Thank you to Dr. Bob Gilbert, who is working as the college Registrar, and provided the material for this report.

May the Lord bless you, and may you find yourself encouraged to serve Him!

In Christ,
Jesse Martinez, FBCT President

Worth reading together:
By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
