Hi! I'm Sydney Hart, a master’s student at University of South Florida, and I'm doing research on distress symptoms after Emergency Room treatment experiences (IRB Protocol #006438). You may be curious about why I'm researching this topic - well, I have complex disabilities and chronic pain, so unfortunately I've had my fair share of traumatic medical experiences. I'm hoping that building the body of research on this topic will encourage the medical industry to acknowledge how treatment experiences can affect us and start making changes.
