TECHNOLOGY FOR OUR TIME. Today, virtually all of Florida’s 20,000 school buses run on diesel fuel. Many have been on the road for more than a decade. They are expensive to run and fix. About three quarters of Florida’s buses also fail to meet current Clean Air standards. New propane buses based on new American technology and American fuels are cheaper to run. They are cheaper to fix. And they are better for our children’s health and our environment. It is a technology for our time.
