I have been working on some short pieces lately. This one is Aquatintes No.1 by Bernard Andres.
I am enjoying the chance to play flute before work whenever I can do it. Smart Music lists the Suzuki Flute books up to Level 4 and even though I went through the book a long time ago with a student, I don't remember the pieces. Level 4 is delightful- Bach, Handel and Blavet! I would love to see more flute levels added and harp up to at least 3 or 4. Then I might be able to justify getting Smart Music after the trial is over.

Photo of my friend Helen and also Nadia Ledwith with her daughter ( former flute student - now band director) at the USF Flute Day. All of us got to play some flute ensemble music in The Great Big Flute Choir and attend flute workshops and masterclasses. Fun day!
Please recommend my page especially if you know of anyone who is looking to start piano, flute or harp lessons. I also have group classes for beginners!

Today Mark's the end of the 30 day practice challenge. I am happy to have completed it! Next month will be Anne Sullivan practice challenge with shorter, easier pieces. Memory work and trying to do complicated pieces during my challenges continue to be issues. I still have a lot of work to do on this month's pieces, but I have seen some progress!
I am doing a 30 day Practice Challenge and this is Day 17 - Solfeggieto, the 1st 3 pages. I am trying to slow this down though I know it needs to go much faster. Less buzzing this week I think. I played this piece over 20 years ago and I can't imagine I did better then. I think my sensitivity to problems has improved but speed is still a big issue.
