Mommas, birthing people, fathers, Birth-workers, health professionals, advocates and community members, join us Thursday evening at the University of Tampa for an important community discussion identifying strategies to protect bodily autonomy! The goal is to determine actionable steps advancing the Black maternal health movement to promote justice, joy and collective healing 🤎

✨MOMMA Fest - April 17, 2026✨

When: Friday, April 17, at 5:30pm
Where: Living Faith Bible Fellowship
Who: Community members of all ages welcome!

Join us to conclude our celebration of Black Maternal Health Week of Tampa Bay on Friday with evening of family fun at MOMMA Fest: Community Block Party & Birth Expo. Food drive / grocery distribution begins at 5:30pm until supplies last. Baby and postpartum care raffle will take place throughout the evening!

FBMHI will join BMMA in celebrating , April 11-17, 2026, during the 3rd Annual Black Maternal Health Week of Tampa Bay, which includes special events throughout the entire week! This morning we kicked off with Movement For Black Mommas & Maternal Health: Community Awareness Walk!

Black Maternal Health Week of Tampa Bay 2026 will officially kick off tomorrow, Saturday, April 11 at the Movement for Black Mommas & Maternal Health: Community Awareness Walk & Run!

The Florida Black Maternal Health Initiative would like to thank City of St. Petersburg Mayor Kenneth T Welch & City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor for declaring and acknowledging April 11-17, 2026 as Black Maternal Health Week in the Tampa Bay Area!

Join us as we celebrate Black Maternal Health Week with events all week long including fun for the entire family! All events are free to attend but registration is required.
