This year we are doing something very special and we need your help to make it a huge success. Our beloved brother, Dave Lichtenfels, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. I do not need to tell all of you how much Dave has done for us as a chapter over all the years that he has been a brother. He is the perfect embodiment of what it truly means to be a Phi. That being said we as a chapter have decided that we will be holding our first annual “Dave and Lou’s Casino Night” on March 30th. We will be donating half of our proceeds to ALS research and half to The Parkinson’s Foundation in Dave’s honor.
For this event participants will buy a ticket (available on the eventbrite link at the bottom of the post) to the event which includes admission as well as $1,600 worth of “funny money” that you can exchange for chips to use at the various tables. At the end of the night you will exchange your chips for raffle tickets which you can enter in the raffle for any of our various prizes.

169 years ago on December 26, 1848 our fraternity was founded by these 6 men and today we continue their legacy by becoming the greatest version of ourselves. Happy founders day brothers!

The Phi Delt house at USF, listed at 13717 N 42nd street, experienced some early structural damage due to thunderstorms this afternoon. The appropriate protocol was taken and the house has been evacuated for safety. Thank you to local Hillsborough fire Engine RE-18 and Tampa PD for their swift and effective response. Also a huge thank you to our alumni and housing board for the endless support. All rush and chapter events have been postponed until further notice.

Today is one of our Brother's Birthday, but not just any brother. A brother who has been with this Fraternity since the very beginning, someone who has seen it all. Without him the FL Epsilon chapter of Phi Delta Theta may not even be here today. We cannot thank this man enough for what he has given back to this Fraternity. Not only not less, but greater.
