Super blessed to have Julio be our guy for the college dudes, read below why this guy is beyond special
What’s up guys! My name is Julio Robaina. Some of you may already know me, but for those who don’t, I’m currently playing with the Atlanta Braves and I’ve been playing professional baseball for almost 10 years, including about 8 years in MLB Affiliates. I’ve played from Rookie Ball all the way to AAA, spent several years with the Astros, played in Mexico, and had the opportunity to be one of the top pitchers in the Mexican League and in AA.
But beyond the numbers and everything I’ve accomplished in baseball, I’ve also been through some pretty difficult moments. In 2024, I had a labrum injury that kept me out of baseball for nine months. There were moments when I seriously thought about walking away from the game. That’s when Coach Pupo, my family, and the people around me helped me tremendously, especially when it came to keeping my mind strong and finding my purpose again.
That experience also led me to start working with younger players and helped me realize how much I enjoy teaching, helping, and sharing everything I’ve learned throughout my career.
So I want you guys to know that you can trust me and be completely comfortable talking to me. If you’re struggling with your pitching, mechanics, training, confidence, mindset, preparation, or even something personal, you can reach out to me. You don’t have to wait until something is wrong to talk to me. My goal is to help you, not judge you.
I’m going to try to check in with you guys at least once a week to see how you’re doing and how things are going. I’m currently in season, so there may be times when it takes me a little while to respond, but I’ll always do my best to make time for you guys. Mornings will usually be the best time to talk since that’s when I have the most free time before my day gets going.
You don’t have to respond right away. Whenever you have time, just get back to me. The most important thing is that you know you can count on me.
I’m here to help you become not only better pitchers, but better players and better people. 💪🏼⚾️
