Thank you to our President (Raven), Vice President (Genesis), and our Director of Events and Communications (Yasmine) for attending this year’s legislative days at the state’s capitol this past week advocating for pharmacy. We are so proud of you 🤘

Setting a powerful example, our President (Raven) actively participated with SWFSHP at the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, aiming to create a positive impact in the community. Dedicated students and pharmacists volunteered, providing valuable general pharmacy counseling to event attendees!

We are so happy to announce
The Post-Graduate Webinar Series starting this week 🎊

This is hosted by the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) in collaboration with our state affiliate, the Southwest Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SWFSHP). The Weekly Webinar Series consists of 4 webinars focused on residency preparation, with topics including CV preparation, navigating PHorCAS, ASHP Midyear tips, and interview best practices. The Series is led by Dr. Leon-Burgos and Dr. Elabed.

The Webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams from 7-8 PM starting October 19th until November 11th. P1-P4 students are encouraged to join.

Our chapter is happy to announce that we are hosting DEA Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 28, 2023!

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Each semester, the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) at USF hosts an on-site location for the local community.
